Across the Universe

Tremendous. I think director Julie Taymor might be America's answer to Baz Luhrmann. I loved this movie.

Also caught a screening of Dan in Real Life this Saturday. Very cute and fun.

2 and 0! Let's hope my next foray, The Darjeeling Limited, can keep up the winning streak.

It behooves you to break open the f@%&ing canned peaches!

When Al Swearengen says that, you know somethin's goin' down in Deadwood.

Dad and I have made "Deadwood" (the series) our new HBO frontier. In fact, we're almost done with the last season, season 3, and, as always, it'll be a sad occasion when we're done. But, then we'll just move on to another HBO show.

It's really too bad that HBO and Showtime shows-- really, the best on TV-- have a (generally) short life-span, given production expenses and 'cause they're only available on cable networks, thanks to FCC regulations. If we lived in England or Australia, shows like "Deadwood" would be on network TV. Imagine! Those "c@&*suckers" could reach tens of millions! It'd be peaches all around! Talk about panning for gold...

Lizer Soze Becomes Liza McDonald

'Twas only yesterday you were just a "bastreed girl" and we did our interpretive dance to Evita in the hallowed halls of 4 West. Now look at you! A doctor... and now married!!!

Dr. McLiza, your wedding was a blast and I am overjoyed that you invited me. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen and you looked gorgeous. Just in case you were wondering, I whole-heartedly approve of Mr. McDonald. I introduced myself to him at the reception and he hugged me! He's good people. I can tell he has a big heart and that he adores you. Well done!!!

Thanks also for the happy occasion to reacquaint myself with old friends. What a tremendous blessing it has been for me. I missed everyone more than I knew.

Happy honeymoon!

Love always,

Rox
