Bilbao and Boy, oh Boy!

The Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao

Lots and lots of stuff to report. First, I went to Bilbao today to see the most famous 20th century building in the world, Frank Gehry´s Guggenheim Museum of Contemporary Art. It is made of titanium, glass and limestone-- proportions mathmatically calculated by computer to perfection. What an experience! In other news, my Vassar professor and one time employer, Noah Baumbach, is directing a movie with Nicole Kidman and his wife, Jennifer Jason Leigh. I guess some guys have all the luck!

My boyfriend became an uncle on Mother´s Day to a baby girl named Emily. Talk about exciting! And, in Roxie Land, those Air France mother f··kers finally found my luggage that had been lost by them on the way to Italy almost 3 months ago, minus one Australian cellular phone. Well, the joke´s on whoever stole the thing. It was basically worthless.

Finally, congrats to my sister who swindled a Barcelona thief out of 20 Euro after he stole 80 from her (she got back 100). It´s a long story but, let´s just say that the f··ker will think twice about stealing money from an American girl next time. As my sister said, "Don´t try to steal money from the ultimate capitalist!" You´ll get the horns!!! My sister is my hero-- you should have seen her!

Ah- you went to the Gugenheim- yes we also thought it was a pretty awe inspiring experience- it felt a bit like being in a painting if that makes any sense- reminded me of my art days in High School. Me and Carlos and Antti (No 2) went to see the 4.30 am football game- Barcelone v Arsenal-did you watch it? It was a great game. Has that lazy finlandian got on a plane to meet up with you yet or is he still spending all his time on his new favourite toy- a motorcycle;-P

James,

I watched the game in a bar in Logroño with 35 Spaniards who screamed bloody murder when Barcelona scored. Every one was so elated except for Javi who, as you know, is a REAL Madrid fan. It was quite an evening!

Antti 1 is not coming to Spain because he is too busy!

Love, Rox
